Meet Glenda Ramirez

Many of you have already met Glenda Ramirez our full time hygienist at Progressive Dental. Glenda is originally from El Salvador (C.A) and arrived in Australia in 1992 to settle in Perth (W.A).

She completed her schooling and degree in Dental Hygiene & Therapy at Curtin University .

Glenda then made her move to the big city - Sydney in 2005, intending to expand her knowledge and experience in the dental field.

Since her move, she has lectured dental hygiene to students at the University of Sydney and is currently undertaking further university studies at Macquarie University in the field of psychology.

Although Glenda's initial plan was only to stay in Sydney for twelve months, she loved Sydney life so much that she has now settled here full time.

Six months ago, Glenda joined the team at Progressive Dental and hopes to continue looking after the well being of all her patients' gums and teeth at their regular hygiene visits.

Meet Stella Bassos

Stella Bassos is a dental hygienist at Progressive Dental. Prior to acquiring her Bachelor of Oral Health from the University of Newcastle , Stella was a full time dental assistant. She joined the team six years ago when Progressive Dental was located in Neutral Bay at the Big Bear Medical Centre.

She is comprehensively trained in all facets of preventative dentistry, even having attended conferences abroad with Dr Philip Stein at the Las Vegas Institute. At present Stella has returned to University to complete a fourth and final honours year.

Her research project combined with her work at Progressive Dental will no doubt leave her very little time for leisure. However, living on Sydney 's Northern Beaches Stella will always find time for a glass of wine and a good meal at one of her many favourite restaurants along Dee Why Beach .
